"They might not count as clothes. They didn't look anything like hats to me, more like woolly bladders."
-Ron Weasley, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
So for Christmas this year I decided to take a leaf out of Hermione's book and crochet some hats for my little house elves. I found this pattern and loved it. Click here to see the original pattern. I didn't have the exact weight of yarn the pattern called for so I doubled up my yarn but they ended up being a little bigger than the pattern says. I used a few different sizes featured on this blog to make mine.
I made this green one for Tannor. He just turned 3 years old.
Here is Tannor wearing it Christmas morning.
I made this blue one for Jameson who is about 8 months old.
This pink one was my favorite. I made it for my 1 year old niece Tannika. The flower is actually 2 flowers layered on top of each other. The smaller flower that is on top is the one featured in the pattern that I used and linked to at the beginning of this post. The pattern for the larger flower that is on the bottom can be found here.
These hats turned out so cute!!! Thankfully they looked more like hats than Woolly Bladders and I didn't even use magic.
